Welcome To BlueGrassMartial Arts Minimize

Bluegrass Martial Arts is a friendly environment offering the opportunity to study the refined arts of Shaolin Kempo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at 2506 Plantside Drive in Louisville, Ky.

Shaolin Kempo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are sophisticated striking and grappling systems, which combine standing self-defense with throws, ground positions and submissions. They can be practiced recreationally, or competitively, for men, women and children of all ages.

Both styles can also be considered foundational disciplines for professional mixed martial artists. Many of the techniques are well suited for women's self-defense situations. Once a woman is taught how to use well-placed strikes and kicks, as well as her hips against the isolated joint of an attacker, confidence increases.

While speed and strength will always be factors in physical altercations, a well trained Shaolin Kempo or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, male or female, will be able to negate most of their opponent's power through proper technique, leverage, and timing.

Regular practice encourages a high level of physical fitness, increased coordination, and camaraderie with your new friends. Challenge yourself in training, and reap the benefits of improvement, on and off the mat.

Bluegrass Martial Arts is a clean, safe and highly controlled environment that fosters discipline, self-control, and responsibility; fusing traditional elements of respect with self-defense skills that incorporate both fitness and fun.

Second Chance Program Minimize

Don’t Get Trapped In A Contract!

Unfortunately, many martial art schools are now insisting that their students or parents of students sign extended contracts.  The reason is simply that they are uncertain you will be satisfied with their program after a month or two, and they want to ensure a financial commitment from you in the beginning.  Then you are forced to make a mandated monthly payment even if you or your child doesn’t attend class or finds dissatisfaction with the program.  If this is your current situation, please see our Second Chance Program.
